Our Story
FRESH START FOR ALL NATIONS, a ministry of GRACE and TRUTH, HOPE and FORGIVENESS, was formed as a 501 c(3) not-for-profit in the fall of 2007. However, the essence of Fresh Start was planted in the hearts of Pastor Steve Peterson and his wife Mindy in the early 1980s. The seed the Lord planted in their hearts at that time has now grown and developed into an expanding "fresh start for every heart" mission of international impact!
Over the course of those many years, we have been actively helping men, women, young people, and children become free from the effects of offense, hurt, or loss. Sometimes, it is in the context of a one-on-one meeting. It also could be a weekly small group, a larger gathering, a seminar, or a conference. At other times, it is through our Fresh Start ministry resources being shipped to another city, or accessed on our website. Often, it even includes a Fresh Start team traveling to another city, or nation, and investing in the hearts of leaders and others in those locations.
Our Fresh Start ministry resources have been making an impact with those in jails and prisons, among truckers, educators, pastors, professionals, business people, with those in law enforcement, with those who work in the inner city, and with leaders in many arenas of life. One of our ministry partners, BODY LIFE MINISTRIES ships thousands of pieces of our ministry resources (video, audio, and printed) to distributors serving jails and prisons, and truck stops every year!
Those who have been transformed by the power of forgiveness and freedom in Christ, and now are "carriers" of a Fresh Start, are experiencing increasing opportunity to go to other lands and invest in the hearts of leaders and others. Countries that have been touched are: Serbia, Macedonia, Bosnia, Mexico, El Salvador, Colombia, Haiti, India, Nepal, Thailand, Sri Lanka, Ireland, Pakistan, Afghanistan, the Philippines, Brazil, China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Uganda, Botswana, Burundi, Zambia, Botswana, South Africa and more!
It has been so exciting to see the impact of this ministry spread like fire! As we look toward the future, we are convinced that with the Lord, there's always MORE!
